Role: Senior Lead Network Engineer - (L1/L2/L3)

Location: Roseville, CA - F2F Interview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Network Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-level network infrastructure. This role requires expertise across L1, L2, and L3 (network layer), ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security, and high availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.

- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for L1/L2/L3 network issues.

- Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, and security measures.

- Monitor network performance and optimize for scalability and reliability.

- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to support business operations.

- Document network designs, standards, and procedures.

- Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring best practices are followed.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to network architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 13+ years of experience in network engineering, with senior-level expertise.

- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and other protocols.

- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking equipment.

- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).

- Solid understanding of network security, compliance, and governance.

- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.

- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with SD-WAN, virtualization, and automation tools.
